Successful Treatment of Brain Abscess associated with Septic Pneumonia with Moxalactam

Abstract
|
|
|
Brain abscess accompanied by septicemia is relatively common but is very difficult to treat and its prognosis is poor, and no case successfully treated by cephalosporin alone is reported until now.
Here I report a 26-year-old female who was completely cured by a new beta-lactam antibiotic Moxalactam(Latamoxef, Shiomarin(R)) alone from the condition of septic pneumonia with left retrobulbar abscess which was proven inoperable by brain C-T Scanning.
